Deserts. Not unfamiliar things to me having visited a few in my life. I think the first one was the Sahara in southern Tunisia. A two day camel trek from memory but it was a long time ago. I find deserts fascinating places. Bleak but beautiful with minimal visual distraction. This one, the Gorafe, whilst nowhere near as big or minimalist as the Sahara, is beautiful in a very different way. The landscape varies and the hills undulate, like a coarse material folded in on itself. In other places, the rocks protrude as if forced upwards by some subterranean hand, the fingers pushing towards the sky. I love it and whilst I’m not here to take stills, I do still manage to squeeze in a few early morning shots.
